Garter and Lace Spa Cloth
Mixing garter stitch & bits of eyelet lace makes knitting interesting while you whip up an elegant spa cloth. It's a great beginner lace project and it's a pattern you can use over and over again, esp if you love to knit gifts for all the knit-worthy people in your life.
Finished Measurements: 9.5" x 8" / 24 cm x 20.5 cm after wet blocking Yarn: 68 yds / 62 m of sport weight yarn. Sample knit in Grace Cotton by Patons in Citadel. (Blue), Patons in Citadel and 24/7 Cotton by Lion Brand in Taupe.
Needle Size: US size 5 (7) / 3.75 (4.5) mm needles
Notions: Tapestry needle, blocking wires (optional)
Gauge: 20 (16) sts = 4" / 10 cm in Garter Stitch after wet blocking (gauge is not overly important; however, it will alter yardage and finished measurements)
Skill Level: Adventurous Beginner
Notes: Can easily be knit with fingering weight for a soft drapey cloth.
